Attendance and GradingThere are three hours of unexcused absence allowed for this class. Any additional absence can result in a letter grade drop of your semester grade. Lateness to class is an absence. Criteria for grading presentations include: preparation, discipline, cooperation, and the ability to integrate acting theory into acting skills. There will be a comprehensive final written exam for this class. This exam, the scene and audition presentation grades, and your written assignments will average equally to become ninety (90) percent of your semester grade. Participation in class discussions, and participation in class exercises will constitute the remaining ten (10) percent of your semester grade. You are expected to rehearse outside of class with your assigned partner. Failure to perform on your assigned day may result in a grade of "0" for the performance grade. Unprepared scenes will not be allowed to perform. I will provide you with the scenes and monologues for performance in this class. This class schedule may change subject to the Fine Arts Production schedule or the special needs of the class. |
